A member asked:

Its been 3 months since stomach flu, but some days i have a gag when i eat, small nausea at night, dry throat, cough, stomach tightens, why is that?

Gastroenterologist: Simple viral gastrointestinal tract infection shouldn't produce these symptoms 3 months later. Possibilities include inflammation of the stomach lining(gastritis), hiatal hernia, esophageal motility disorder, gastroesophageal reflux or irritable gi tract. A gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you. Any appropriate tests will be done.
