I was diagnosed with a strain of swine flu and i am still experiencing high fever and nausea on and off during the day. is this a side effect of meds or should i get a follow up consult?

Something.: Influenza doesn't by itself keep giving fever for more than a few days. but pneumonia often occurs after flu

Yes: get a follow up consult. Evaluation will determine if you have developed any complications of the FLu. Remain adequately hydrated.

Mgt: If you have chills,shortness of breath or cough, you may have a lung infection. Secondary bacterial illness is one complication of the flu.
