Viral vs Yeast: Many throat infections can be viral in nature and in these cases antibiotics may not be helpful and can cause redness/white spots. Another possibility is a yeast infection which can be common in patients taking antibiotics. I cannot tell you to stop the antibiotics but I would see a medical provider to rule out other causes of the white spots. Good luck
