Little or no risk: House flies are pretty much unavoidable; there will always be some in and around almost any house, offices, stores, etc. In theory, they can carry disease germs, but it's rare. In your home, you are no more at risk from flies than you are from simply touching doorknobs, table tops, etc. Use common sense hygiene, discard older foods, and keep a reasonably clean environment. Then no worries.

House flies: House flies are considered "filth flies" They can spread infection but primarily through your food. They would need to pick up contaminants before landing on your food. They can land on your food & regurgitate their stomach contents or defecate on your food.
