Because of a very short urethra, women are more prone to lower urinary tract infections. Often it's from fecal bacteria entering the urethra if wiping after a bowel movement is careless such as wiping from back to front. Sitting in a bath tub can be a factor also. If toilet water is contaminated with bacteria I suppose it could cause a UTI if it's rubbed into the urethra but it's uncommon
