A member asked:

Can a panic attack make your hearing fade? almost like presyncope, but never fainted in my life.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible..: Panic attacks can have multiple physical symptoms, eg., dizziness, lightheadedness, feelings of unreality, chest pain, headache. It's possible during a panic attack one may feel hearing is faded or diminished. However, a complete history & exam by your pcp is necessary to r/o a physical cause for any hearing loss before saying it's caused by a PA. See: http://tinyurl.com/y9jvd45e Hope this helps.
