I recently tested for herpes 1 and herpes 2 and the results came back as 36.5 for hsv 1 igg. what should i do next to get this treated and prevent ?

Probably oral herpes: Half of all adults have positive HSV1 tests, so nothing unusual about our test result. You are infected with HSV1. Most such infections are oral, from childhood. Unless you have symptoms of oral herpes (cold sores etc) or genital herpes, there's no way to know which site is infected. Be on the lookout for symptoms and avoid intimate contact (kissing, intercourse) if outbreak may be present.
