On metronidazle for a vaginal bacterial imbalance and i wasn't told not to drink alcohol while on it by my doctor. but i'm having bad hot flashes now and i read the instructions and it says not to drink on it cause it can cause sickness or hot flashe?

Did you drink?: That is why it says not to drink on it. You should also avoid alcohol for 3 days after you finish the metronidazole. You will survive and the symptoms will pass, but make sure you don't drink any more alcohol.

No alcohol!: You should not drink alcohol while you are taking metronidazole and for a minimum of 3 days after you stop taking this drug.
