A member asked:

I'm 24 , weight 75 my reports showed 8.79 tsh this is my first thyroid test and i was being some medication for regular mensustral cycle. is lowering?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Thyroid deficiency: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, TSH value of 8.79 suggests thyroid deficiency and you should consult your doctor for replacement medication.
