No: Pernicious anemia is a disease of gastric parietal cells, which secrete intrinsic factor, a chemical cofactor that complexes with B12 and without which B12 cannot be absorbed. There is no supplement or anything else you can take that will affect this. B12 injections are enough. Listen to your doctor; (s)he's the doctor and you're not.

Pernicious Anemia :B12 injections every 2 mths would taking 15 mg Lansoprazole every day for two years with Plavix to protect the stomach from side effects from Anti-platelet .Could this deplete B12 and magnesium and cause neurological symptoms?
Is iron supplementation ever warranted if ferritin is somewhat low? 30 ng/mL(ref 6-137). No anemia, normal CBC. I know GP needs to guide meds, but curious if low ferritin can cause symptoms. Can B12 injections for def. use up iron stores?
GP said Ferritin serum 12 ug/L. range 12-250ug/L is normal but i lose hair each day. Other anemia symptons B12 result good how can i increase 12ug/L?
