Unlikely: Testicular torsion is usually excruciating pain rather than low grade discomfort. However it can only be ruled out after a proper physical examination and possibly an ultrasound scan. Please see your doctor or visit an A&M clinic as soon as possible.

Not likely : However other potentially testicle threatening nasties such as testicular haematoma probably also need to be rapidly excluded here so I agree with giving prompt priority to examination as soon as possible

Probably not: Less likely than just bruising from the direct trauma. Usually the pain from a torsion is particularly intense. Torsion does sometimes follow a trauma but it is unclear if this is actually a cause or that men who develop a torsion falsely link a minor trauma to the start of the pain. If you are worried, the safest thing to do is to get it checked in person.

See below: Though testicular torsion usually occurs spontaneously, it can occur after trauma to the area. Symptoms: pain of variable severity, swelling, tenderness, high-riding position of the affected testicle, nausea. Most common age group 12-18. In the case of torsion, prompt evaluation within hours of pain onset and surgical correction needed. Nearly all other causes of testicular pain treated medically.
