What is best option for bile reflux on egd? crippling epigastric pain after meals. ppis, zantac,&questran didn't help. is carafate or pepcid better

Bile reflux: Unfortunately bile reflux, unlike acid reflux, doesn't respond well to treatment with the usual antiGERD medications. I think it's worthwhile to try carafate. Pepcid is in the same medication class as zantac. Your gastroenterologist can advise you best,however.
