Routine mri head for sudden ataxia - report states retained fluid secretions are present in a pneumatised left petrous apex. does this need treating?

Petrous apex cyst: No known cause, the symptoms appear with the expansion (ataxia, abducens nerve involvement and the facial nerve). The treatment is the drainage by specialized ENT and or neurosurgery. The approach has to be chosen carefully and the surgery has to be done by an experienced person who has done many of these procedures before.
