DVT Risk Factors: There are several risk factors for Deep Venous Thrombosis. These are defined by Virchow's Triad: Stasis, Injury, and Hypercoagulability. If you have been sedentary, had an injury/operation, history of a blood clotting disorder, these are risk factors. Since you have severe cramps, it would be a good idea to have an exam by your physician who can perform a doppler examination to rule out DVT.
