Needs checking: Hard to say without seeing. Need to examine to determine if it is just prominent folds behind the anterior fauces (which is normal) or whether there is some other issue with the tonsils such as infection, or other issue. Please see a doctor licensed in your area for an examination. If they remain in doubt they'll be able to consider tests and referral.
