Endocarditis: on prolapsed valves is rare...(that's why antibiotics prior to Dental deep scaling etc is recommended.. the immunosuppressant and steroid medications make infection more common. Follow your health professional's advice as to when you should start antibiotic! Hope this helps! Dr z
