A member asked:

Mvp & mild mr & get recurrent yeast infections on my period and then it stays mild so i don't treat it. am i at greater risk for fungal endocarditis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: Vaginal yeast infections are annoying, yet a frequently diagnosed symptom of imbalance in the gut/genitourinary flora. They can be caused by stress, medications including antibiotics, hormone fluctuations (such as your menstrual cycle), and others. Fungal endocarditis is a rare complication of a severely suppressed immune system. If you're basically healthy, don't worry about getting endocarditis.
