Avoid Massage: Hematoma's are common and are best left alone as the blood will liquify and will be absorbed in 1-2 weeks time. You do not seed to do anything unless there is infection which will cause further swelling and pain. if it does not hurt, it is healing by itself. What date was the angiogram performed?

Hematoma: I would recommend that you be evaluated by the medical group that performed the angiogram. If this is a hematoma, then massaging would not be a problem. Arnica gel is also helpful. However, an ultrasound of the area may be required to determine if there is a leakage from the blood vessel.
