Bagels!: I like frozen cocktail bagels. The cold numbs the gums, the hard bread helps push the teeth out, and the kids seem to like working on it.

Many ways: Cold hard things to chew on are helpful. Tylenol (acetaminophen) can help, but i save this for a last resort. There are a variety of homeopathic teething remedies on the market, my favorite is called camilia. Herbal remedies include oil of cloves, a small amount applied to the gums, but dilute it first. Don't use oragel or any other numbing agent. They don't help and may make things worse.

Chew on cold things : Give her something cold to chew on like a frozen, damp washcloth or cold teething ring. The cold makes the gums feel better, the chewing helps the tooth cut through. Don't give her small things to chew on as they are choking hazards.

Teething: Gently rubbing over the affected gum with your clean finger may ease the pain. Many children find that biting on a clean and cool object is soothing (for example, a chilled teething ring or a clean, cold, wet flannel). Chewing on chilled fruit or vegetables may help. However, teething biscuits (or rusks) should be avoided as they contain sugar http://patient.info/health/teething

Let her chew: Chewing on something cold and firm is helpful. One idea is to give them a damp washcloth that as been frozen in the freezer to chew on. Commercial teeth rings that can be frozen are available as well. Teething is a normal process. I would avoid medication like painkillers unless absolutely necessary. Most babies really don't need them.

Teething management: Rub the affected gum, safe objects to chew on and OTC pain relief medicine (Adol, NSAID or Tylenol). Always ask a pediatrician before giving any medicine to a child.

It hurts: And it's so frustrating for parents not to be able to provide immediate relief. Baby will be fussy, drool, out of sorts, off their sleep pattern. Gently rub the gums with a clean finger tip. Give baby a cool chewable object, such as a freezable teething ring or a moistened washcloth that has been frozen. Check with Pediatrician, but children's Motrin (ibuprofen) may help. Best thing is tincture of time.
