Diarrhea: Chronic severe diarrhea should be evaluated by a gastroenterologist. If you are not satisfied with your diagnosis or treatment, seek another opinion. Newer medication is available for IBS with predominant diarrhea. Inflammatory bowel disease, malabsorption, pancreatic insufficiency, parasitic infection, gluten sensitivity or intolerance, etc to be considered.
