Partial dentures: Most patients find partial dentures uncomfortable and not natural. They generally are recommended only when one cannot afford other fixed restorative options such as fixed bridges or implant supported teeth. Also an option when there is insufficient bone to support implants or sound natural teeth to anchor a fixed bridge. They move, food gets under them, they are bulky, and stress the other teeth

State of the art: Best solution is usually implants/crowns. Most comfortable and longest lasting. Step down are fixed bridges. Step down from there is a partial denture. But no two people are alike. So best to discuss this with your Dentist or with a Prosthodontist, a specialist in replacing missing teeth.

See below: If possible, speak to your dentist about implants with single crown placement for optimum results. Most patients prefer the implant/crown to a partial for long term comfort and success.
