Group B strep: Until you go into labor, the baby is not at risk from your group B strep infection(s). Your obstetrician probably will collect vaginal swab specimens to test for GBS as your due date approaches. If GBS is found prior to delivery, she will take steps to prevent infection of the baby, probably with another round of antibiotic treatment. Discuss with your Ob. Good luck!
