No worries: When taking oral amoxicillin to treat a typical infection, taking an extra dose should cause no problems, because amoxillin has a good safety margin from a dosing perspective. For urinary tract infections, the bacteria may be resistant to amoxicillin (a lab test may be needed to make sure the UTI went away, or to show that the bacteria was not resistant to amoxicillin).
