Can be normal: Occasional random jerks while resting or asleep can be normal. If these are persistent, frequent, or interfere with your normal activities, please see a doctor for evaluation. Your primary care doctor can help you determine if this is a significant problem. A neurologist can help you define the cause if it is or if it becomes a significant problem.
