Neurologist: Muscle jerks strong enough to move your extremities occurring repetitively should be evaluated by a neurologist who shall order the appropriate tests and treatment.

Yes: Muscle jerks as you describe can be the tip of the iceberg so to speak of a serious neurological condition. I would advise you to consult with a neurologist soon.
