Mri showed several swollen lymph nodes along chest bone and trachea. should i be concerned. dr is ordering ct of chest now.

Possibly: Reason for ordering an MRI of chest. The presence of several lymph nodes suggests more than a localized process. Nodes along the chest bone represent internal mammary nodes which usually drain tumor cells from medial breast. When para tracheal nodes are added if significant should suggest possible lymphoma. PET/CAT would show other sites of possible nodal involvememt. Bx necessary for dx.
