Sciatica: Scoliosis can be very disabling in terms of chronic pain. The treatment consideration include massage and physical therapy, acupuncture, muscle relaxer, analgesic with non-steroidal anti inflammatory medications and pain clinic evaluation for epidural treatments, opiates medication or spinal cord stimulator. Surgical treatment is the last to be considered (depending on severity of the scoliosis).

Pinched Nerve: Sounds like you have a pinched nerve in your back. I would suggest seeing a fellowship trained pain/spine specialist to evaluate you further to evaluate what level and what can be done to treat you. There are interventional treatments besides medications and surgeries that might reduce or eliminate the pain altogether.
