Prednisone : I would recommend discontinuing the medication since it is causing you a potential side effect and see if the headache resolves and does not occur again. If so, more than likely it was secondary to prednisone if continues more than likely may be secondary to coughing efforts.

No: Headache is not a common side effect of prednisone - it’s hard to say if it’s from the drug, coughing, or illness. Would recommend Tylenol for headache (not aspirin or ibuprofen). See if the headache is any better on day 2. If not or it worsens, get in touch with the doctor who prescribed the prednisone for additional guidance or a potential change in therapy.
