Doubtful: Whooping cough has a characteristic sound to it and is some really bad coughing too did your doctor do a chest x-ray yet? A blood count would be abnormal too. Chronic sinus drainage will cause a cough especially with respiratory allergies. Basically your doctor needs to dig a little more to find your solution.
