Total needs to be =: Typically as long as the total dosing milligrams are same you should be fine. That being said, some medications are slow-release, etc. but if they are immediate release, as long as the total math (either one 30 mg or two 15 mg) is the same, it shouldn't make a difference. A lot of times it is the convenience (or inconvenience) that is the factor.
