It depends.: If being used for blood pressure, beta blockers have a wide range of doses that can be prescribed, from quite small to very large, and sometimes a second or third medicine must be added. Sometimes low doses of beta blockers are used for tremors, too. No matter what the indication, dose must be titrated to the individual, and most people start with small doses and go up if needed.
