A member asked:

My right breast has a sharp throbbing pain and i'm wondering if it's anything to be concerned about. i am still in my teenage years and i'm not sure i?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Needs evaluation: It is not normal to have sharp stabbing pain in a breast unless there has been recent trauma or breasts are being actively compressed. Slight aching is not uncommon just before menses, but is usually in both breasts. I am concerned about infection or referred pain from the underlying ribs, etc. Please get it checked out.
