A member asked:

I am having throbbing pains on my right side - level with my breast. for several months, i have experienced what seems sharp angina on left side.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sometimes: We only worry about left sided pain for angina. The right side of the heart is on the right side of the chest beyond the midline and can cause pain on the right side too. If you feel you do have angina and you do have risks, please have a proper evaluation with a cardiologist. Once you know, pains are pains that can be treated and not life-threatening as long as your heart is fine. Good luck.
