My tsh value on first day of menstrual cycle was 6.24 miu/l. however, a repeat sample on day 3 showed 3.66 miu/l. should i be concerned??

No: No. If you have symptoms that are consistent with hypohthyroidism, then you may want to have it repeated, but fluctuations can be seen.

No: The repeat value is well within range. One borderline high value is not diagnostic of low thyroid.

33 yo with no symptoms who was previously on 75mcg synthroid. Also on lithium. Labs from end of May shows TSH less than 0.01 and synthroid was decreased to 50mcg. Repeat labs from first week of July shows TSH 8.52. FT4 1.2. What to do next?
