A member asked:

My tsh levels went from 5.2 then 1.1 over a span of a week. i've been weak, cold, heart palpitations, nausea, and leading to anxiety and panic attacks. what does this mean? could it be something related to my menstrual cycle that is messing with it?

Your symptoms in general are not consistent with either hypo or hyperthyroidism and your TSH level for 2 times rules out thyroid problem. Please note that mild hypothyroidism with slightly high TSH, 5.2, rarely causes any symptoms but the second TSH level, 1.1, rules out hypothyroidism. If you have irregular menses, hormone imbalance and its etiology could be the culprit.
