A member asked:

Is minor swelling normal after a slight hit above my right temple, or could there be an internal injury? (happened 5 days ago, only pain when i chew.)

Ok: If only minor symptoms would expect ok. If you develop any additional issues, check with your doctor.

Hematoma: The swelling in the temple area may be a superficial blood collection(hematoma). As far as other effects of the injury, even mild head trauma can lead to post traumatic headaches, visual symptoms or lightheadedness. If symptoms persist or worsen get examined by a physician.
