I hit my head off a pipe in the basement about two hours ago i have a mild headache, there was swelling but i applied ice is it ok to sleep?

Not sure: Is it a normal time for you to sleep or do you feel tired/groggy because you bumped your head? The risk is that with brain injury and concussion, the respiratory center in the brain can become compromised and staying awake long enough to seek medical care is thus important. It is unlikely, however, that you hit it hard enough to cause concussion or internal bleed. No way to know without an exam
