Call your doctor now: If this pain is severe, and you cannot reach your doctor through the answering service, go to the ER now, please. Severe pain is always serious.

Maybe not, but: The lumbar puncture was in a different site from your current complaints, BUT it is possible that you acquired an infection from the lumbar puncture. If that's the case, your symptoms could be meningitis. You need to see your PCP ASAP or go to the ER, especially if you have a fever. You'll probably need another tap to assess for microbes.
