No: Permanent teeth should erupt soon after baby teeth fall out. Your daughter is 7, the ideal age for an initial Orthodontic examination. A specialist Orthodontist is trained in dent-facial growth and development, and is the appropriate knowledge source for diagnosing problems such as your daughter's. Initial examination usually free. Call an Orthodontist now to address her malocclusion.

A bit unusual,: But not unheard of. Usually if the baby tooth falls out naturally the permanent tooth comes up within a couple of weeks. For some kids who are crowded it may take longer. If the permanent tooth doesn't erupt within three months of the baby tooth coming out then I would have your child's pediatric dentist check things out.

Need x-rays: It's not uncommon to loose primary (baby) teeth and not have the new permanent ones take months to come in although that is not the norm. What's important is to have recent x-rays to determine whether or not the missing teeth are developing normally, that there is enough room for them to come in and that they are pointed in the right direction to erupt properly into the mouth.
