See doctor: since she may have pneumonia associated with chickenpox.

Chicken pox: it's a viral disease , with many generalized symptoms apart from the rash. Fever , cough and cold , are part of it. Rest . Plenty of fluids , soothing drinks like soup , honey , will help. Steam will help with lot of congestion . Continue antipyretic if needed .

If she appears ill, bring her to a doctor ASAP since chickenpox pneumonia, especially in an unimmunized child, can be life-threatening. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Cough with varicella: A lower respiratory tract infection caused by Varicella virus may cause pneumonia or injury to the lining of the lung. Please follow up soon with your Pediatrician. A chest imaging study may be indicated. If there is post nasal drip from nasal congestion or drainage, please use nasal saline and gentle suction. Watch for signs of distress and if this occurs, please see the Emergency Department.
