Thj problem is the fact that the meniscus does not heal well itself (no strong blood supply). So pain is reduced by avoiding the movement of the broken meniscus within itsself (repaos) and ultimatelly the surgery (knee arthroscopy, sinovectomy, partial menicectomy, etc.
