Consider: Consider topical voltaren gel, lidoderm patches, capsicum cream. Some herbals could be helpful.

Surgery alternative: Besides the anti-inflammation medicines and pain controlling meds, repaos is of essence. Knee bracelet might help. Thj problem is the fact that the meniscus does not heal well itself (no strong blood supply). So pain is reduced by avoiding the movement of the broken meniscus within itsself (repaos) and ultimatelly the surgery (knee arthroscopy, sinovectomy, partial menicectomy, etc.
