ER or urgent care: If you are concerned about the facial swelling take child to ER or urgent care. If there is an infection of tooth still important to go to dentist on Thursday as antibiotics will only be partial treatment. Keep Thursday afternoon dental appointment.

Both.: If the swelling and fever are increasing the ER can start you on antibiotics to intervene temporarily. You still need to solve the dental problem, so: also plan to keep your appointment with the dentist-- you may also call ahead to find out if there is anything you can do to expedite necessary treatment that day.

Needs Rx now: Recommend you see a children's dental specialist, a Pedodontist, ASAP. If immediate appointment is not available, your child may need antibiotic coverage until the tooth can be treated. Unless ER has a Dentist on call, preferably a Pediatric Dentist, that's a second choice.
