A preauricular sinus: also known as a congenital pre auricular fistula or cyst, is a common congenital malformation. Most preauricular sinuses are asymptomatic and remain so unless they become infected too often. Surgical treatment is advised when there are recurrent infections. Hope this helps. Stay well:)
