Lack of honesty: with the doctor really is not fair to the doctor who is doing due diligence to give good care. It makes it hard to give good care when there is history that is not true. Why even bother getting medical care - it the individual is going to go against the medical treatment plan. A biopsy will show damage by NSAID's but won't contain NSAID material. This situation is wrong.

NSAIDS can cause a: chemical/reactive gastropathy(type C gastritis), but the biopsy will not specifically detect NSAID as the culprit. It has to be correlated with the patient's medical history. Being honest with your doctor is a critical component of the doctor-patient "contract", and it is ultimately self-defeating to be dishonest about important information: it can lead to the wrong diagnosis, treatment, tests.
