Were these general: physicians or possibly podiatrists or orthopedic surgeons? The latter two would likely be more experienced in assessing this type of issue.

I'm training for a marathon after a 17.5mile run I began to get lateral pain in my left foot when weight bearing & walking. No swelling/bruising no pain while resting slight pain when I press into side of foot near 5th metatarsal and cuboid bone.
Heel pain w/o injury but hx of ankle sprains. Not tender to touch but severe pain & difficulty weight bearing. Mild redness & swelling. Possibilities?
Second toe of right foot has been numb for 5 months. Only on the top between the nail and where the toe meets foot. That toe is longer than the others. I used to have on-off pain in that area. No redness/swelling. I walk 6 miles/day. Ideas?
