What was done: To treat the gout. Were you given a prescription for medication or an injection.You should discuss this with your doctor. Ice may be helpful. Avoiding food that can cause a flare up such as shellfish, peanuts, sardines, beer or wine is also a good idea.

Steroids: Gout can be treated in many different ways, but the fastest way to decrease swelling is a steroid injection.

Why didn't the doc: Who made the diagnosis give you anything? Take a hot bath, and eat bing cherries or drink cherry juice, you can also take antiinflammatories such as allve or motrin.

Sprained knee? Twisted while walking dog. Bit of swelling. Pain is 7-8/10. Range of motion is limited. Now calf hurts, muscle is tight can't stretch.
