See dentist: See a dentist in person for a good examination. It could be normal tissue/scarring after surgery, but best to get examined.

Torus?: You need to have a dentist examine you to determine if what your feel is just an irregularity in the bone that you always had or feels exaggerated due to loss of the tooth and adjacent bone; a torus which is a normal irregularity; or something else.

Could be...: This could be bone or "soft" tissue. It would be a quick evaluation at your next dental visit. As then (or sooner if it hurts, bleeds or swells).

Many possibilities: See your Dentist. Any pain, bleeding, or as in your case swelling, needs to be immediately evaluated. Can be normal anatomy, a neoplasm, or anything in between.
