TMJ: Clicking of the jaw joint(s) reflects displacement of the disc during opening and/or closing. Although you may not think you clench or grind your teeth, it's more likely than not for patients with TMD. That habit may cause enlargement of the masseter muscles over time, although we don't normally really see any visible change in appearance of TMD patients. See a dentist with experience/training TMD
