A member asked:

What is an 11mm t2 hyperintensity of the right lobe of the liver?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fluid collection: Hi Hyperintensities on T2 weighted images indicate that there is a pocket of fluid in that area. It will appear as a bright spot on the actual images themselves. The clinical diagnosis depends on your medical history and we really need a little clinical context to be able to narrow it down from just calling it a "fluid pocket". Hope this helps.
