A member asked:

I am allergic to bees. yesterday i was stung on the arm below the elbow area. took 2 aspirins right away, washed the area and applied benadryl itch c?

What reaction???: You do not state what reaction you had to the bee sting. A true allergic reaction would have caused hives, possible wheezing and trouble breathing and even collapse.quite. An injection of epinephrine and oral Benadryl and urgent medical attention is appropriate in that case. Swelling and itching in the area of the sting is a normal local reaction, and Rx oral or top Benadryl + cold compress
